It is no secret that homegrown luxury tea label TWG Tea has an extensive library of unique and innovative tea blends and single estate harvests. But TWG Tea has opened up yet another treasure trove of gold by combining its multitude of tea blends with chocolate. This week, The Chocolate Space popped by the TWG Tea Grand Atrium at ION Orchard (Level 1) to explore TWG Tea’s impressive collection of tea-infused pralines, truffles and chocolate bars. With more than sixteen different assortments to choose from, we thought we’ll start you off one step at a time, by showcasing five TWG tea-infused chocolate creations:

Singapore Breakfast Tea & Hazelnut – This dark chocolate praline is best known for its potpourri of spices of tangerine, ginger and cloves, blended with green and black tea, and a crunchy hazelnut milk chocolate layer. It offers a burst of flavours that harks back to memories of Singapore’s bygone days as a trading port along the spice route.

Sakura! Sakura! Tea – Inspired by Kyoto’s springtime of blooming cherry blossoms and fragrant flowers, this praline seeks to enliven your palate with an aromatic touch of cherry blossoms and green tea paired with a smooth dark chocolate ganache.

Camelot Tea and Gianduja – This milk chocolate Gianduja (a traditional Italian chocolate with hazelnut paste) offers a concoction of black tea, hazelnuts, cinnamon and almonds. Blended with hints of blue cornflowers, which is symbolic of centuries’ old folklore, this chocolate is reminiscent of fantastical legends of knights, dragons, castles and noble battles.

White Earl Grey and Coconut – This white chocolate truffle will certainly delight the senses because of its fragrant bergamot orange and Earl Grey white tea infused. While Early Grey tea is traditionally a British favourite, there is an oriental twist of coconut in this truffle that balances its citrus flavour, making this truffle something worth trying.

Moroccan Mint Tea & Hazelnut Caramel – Think thoughts of Arabian tales of the Sahara. This dark chocolate truffle has a smoke-like peppery mint flavour given its blend of traditional Moroccan green tea and mint leaves with a layer of caramelized hazelnuts infused in a dark chocolate ganache.

Chocolates are approximately S$20 per 100g (or S$2 per piece). Ask for TWG Tea’s signature gift boxes that start from approximately S$15 for an assortment of 6-pieces of pralines.

TWG Tea also offer chocolate bars that are approximately S$22 per bar.
